Swimming Lessons
Swim School
Our Swim School incorporates the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming. The ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming offers clearly defined progression levels that are easily understood. With 7 different levels we can accommodate many different abilities. The emphasis is on teaching correct technique over short distances providing the foundations for sound swimming and pupil progress. It is also our policy to ensure lessons are enjoyable, interesting and above all offer the highest standards of water confidence, skills and technique.
Classes consist of blocks of 10 weekly sessions to form a 50 week swim school.
Classes consist of weekly half hour sessions. This enables us to place more emphasis on continual assessment. Swimmers will be placed in named groups ranging from Stage 1 to Stage 7. Each child will have the opportunity to achieve awards as they progress through the Swim School.
Lessons continue during school holidays, but we break for two weeks at Christmas. Our lessons run on Bank Holidays.
All of our instructors are qualified by the Swimming Teachers Association and attend regular CPD training in order to maintain quality teaching and ongoing development. All Teachers are also CRB checked prior to employment.
For pricing information please see our fees and charges or look at our Learn and Swim membership on our membership packages page. For any further information please contact reception.
Stages 1 – 7

The scheme aims to build on knowledge and skill development taking learners from developing basic awareness, the ‘class’ scenario, basic movement skills and water confidence skills, swimming 5m on front and back to developing quality stroke technique up to 100m, incorporating skills learnt and combining them to develop a linked routine and complete an obstacle course that combine a variety of skills accomplished throughout Stages 1 – 7.
