  • We will provide overshoes for use if you wish to access the pool area without swimming.
A Guide to Safe Swimming
  • Never swim when under the effects of alcohol or after a heavy meal.
  • Avoid holding your breath and swimming long distances under water.
  • Make sure you know the depth of the water and check where slopes lead into deeper water.
  • No non-swimmers in the deep end.
  • Fun-time with floats. Be especially careful if you have a medical condition such as epilepsy, asthma, diabetes or a heart condition and bring it to the attention of the lifeguard.
  • Unruly behaviour in and around the pool is strictly forbidden. Running, ducking, bombing and acrobatics are not allowed. Shouting and screaming could distract attention in an emergency.
Leisure Pool

With lots of exciting features including a wave machine which brings the thrill of the ocean indoors and a river ride which sweeps you along at an exciting speed.

These features are activated about every 20 minutes (during fun sessions only).

The 70 metre flume is the longest in the region and is a surefire hit with children and adults.

There is a shallow beach area for little ones to play away from the main area; introducing them to the excitement of the pool at their own pace.

There are also geysers and bubbles for the younger ones and places for them to practice jumping in and to gain their confidence.

Take time out during the session to sit in the Jacuzzi pools and watch the rest of the fun.

In addition to daily fun sessions there are flat water public sessions for those who prefer a more traditional swim (Admission charges to flat water sessions are less than those of fun sessions).

Swimming Lessons

Tempus Swim Academy

The Tempus Swim Academy incorporSTA%20SWIM%20LOGO_lates the STA International Learn to Swim Programme. This is a national syllabus for delivering aquatics and provides stages for children to progress and become competent, confident and safe in water. The Tempus Swim Academy teaches water safety and skills for life.

The Swim Academy blocks are in line with school terms Monday to Friday with Saturday lessons running in blocks of 10 weeks.

Classes consist of weekly half hour sessions. This enables us to place more emphasis on continual assessment. Swimmers will be placed in named groups ranging from Octopus to Sharks. Each child will be given a Success Tracker and will also have the opportunity to achieve awards as they progress through the Swim Academy.

Lessons do not run during school holidays however during school holidays we offer ‘Pop up lessons’. Pop up lessons are additional lessons that we add to our holiday programmes that introduce learners new skills in swimming such as Snorkelling, Synchronised swimming and Waterpolo and a continuation to work on their current Learn to Swim award. Pop up lessons are included free in our Breeze Learn to Swim package.

All of our instructors are qualified by the Swimming Teachers Association and attend regular CPD training in order to maintain quality teaching and ongoing development. All Teachers are also DBS checked prior to employment.
